False Security vs. Divine Alignment
The Dangerous Pursuit of Material Wealth
There is a mad rush by this current generation to acquire more buildings, more automobiles, more gorgeous dresses, more businesses, more investments, more streams of income, and so forth. The situation has become really pathetic. It is so dire that the younger generation is actively taking the dark route of money rituals just to acquire more material possessions on earth. Bloodshed has become quite rampant in the wake of making quick money to possess more properties. We live in an era where the love of money has truly become the root of all kinds of evil, just as the Apostle Paul warned in 1 Timothy 6:10.

The Myth of Real Estate as the Ultimate Safety Net
Real estate is universally touted as the newest goldmine. Even the poor have been thoroughly deceived into putting their hard-earned money into lands that have little or no immediate value to add to their daily lives. You must have been brainwashed by societal pressures to believe that landed properties always appreciate over time, making them the ultimate safety net. Hence, every single penny you make is quickly spent to buy properties for your unborn child. While leaving an inheritance is commendable, that mentality is not entirely correct when it becomes your singular life pursuit.
“This is because the life of a man does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”
True Security in God: The Power of Biblical Contentment
This truth resounded in the very words of Jesus Christ in Luke 12:15, where He warned His followers to guard against all types of greed. Now, having food and raiment, as well as good health and ultimately the salvation of your precious soul, you should be contented. The Apostle Paul reinforces this in 1 Timothy 6:8, reminding us that godliness with contentment is a great gain.

The Fragility of Earthly Assets
As good as the property business or property acquisition sounds, it is not enough security that it should push you to hell. Haven’t you seen a boastful landlord of yesterday tragically becoming a tenant all over again? Do you remember the wisdom of Psalm 127:1, which states that except God builds the house, they labour in vain that build it? Wealth without divine backing is utterly fragile. Haven’t you read about a whole thriving city being burnt down to dust? Have you not seen massive oil tankers being burnt to ashes in a matter of minutes? Have you not seen multi-million dollar businesses being completely liquidated?

The physical world is inherently unstable. Grass withers, the flower fades, and towering buildings are routinely demolished to create better infrastructure. Today’s majestic rise is very often tomorrow’s catastrophic ruin. As Isaiah 40:8 declares, the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever. It is only the Word of God that possesses eternal permanence.
I sincerely hope you haven’t joined this exhausting rat race. It will not do any good for your mental health or your spiritual journey. If the heavily guarded Pentagon and the towering World Trade Centre weren’t too secure to be spared by terror attacks, how do you explain your own vulnerability to hurricanes, volcanoes, earthquakes, and sudden tremors? Nature itself frequently proves that human engineering offers no absolute safety.

Building Eternal Treasures in Heaven
Why don’t you deliberately choose to gather your treasure in heaven? In Matthew 6:19-20, Christ instructs us to lay up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. Up there, your investments cannot be devastated by terror, economic inflation, or physical destruction.
If you are not permanently secured by the Word of God, you will never find true security, even if you manage to build magnificent houses in every single country on earth. Properties are genuinely good to have, but they absolutely shouldn’t determine your significance or your self-worth as a human being.
“Alignment with the Word of God is the only security that lasts, not your number of houses, lands, and possibly luxurious jets.”
Look at history. Most service-driven presidents of nations and impactful global leaders have minimal personal assets. They did not steal their country’s treasury dry to feel secure, because their legacy and security were rooted in their purpose. Your bank account and your title deeds are temporary documents. True, unshakeable peace is found in one place alone. Alignment with the Word of God is the only security that lasts, not your number of houses, vast lands, or possibly luxurious private jets. Choose eternal security today.
Thank you so much for allowing God to use you at this critical time, for this generation. More grace sir
